We offer in-home service and troubleshooting.

We bill at a flat rate of $100.00 per hour. A samping of offerings are below.

Training by the hour
Learn how to email, use the Internet, write a letter, calculate a spreadsheet, track your finances, use your digital camera, transfer digital pictures to your computer or email them to friends and family, scan a photo, hook up your Ipod, burn a cd...the possibilities are endless!

SERVICES

PC Setup & Customization
When purchasing a new PC, wouldn't it be nice if you had someone to set it up for you? We can do that!! We will personalize the computer and Windows account(s) to your specific computing needs, hook it up to the Internet and install and configure software that ships with the pc, ensuring critical updates are installed.

This price assumes the computer has been physically setup at a desk. Opening of boxes, lifting, cleaning up is done at the hourly service rate above.

Restore CD Creation
Most computer companies have stopped including Restore CD's with their new computers. These CD's are very important. Should your computer's hard drive ever fail, you need these CD's to restore your system back to the way it was when you got it. If your computer fails and you do not have these Restore CD's, you will have to call your computer manufacturer and wait for them to come to you in the mail - causing you a down-time of several days at best. Why have that happen? Learn To Compute will create the Restore CD's for you (if your computer has a cd burner in it - which most do!)

Network Installation
We can set up a safe, secure wired or wireless network for you so you can share the Internet, printers and files between each of your computers. (This price covers installation and/or troubleshooting of two devices. Hardware is not included. If you choose a wired network, know that we do not install wiring within your walls.)

Secure Your Existing Wireless Network
When your wireless network was installed, was it set up securely? Password-protected and assigned an encryption key? Let us do this for you so you will be safe and your neighbors can't ride off your Internet connection!

Software Installation
Do you have a new software program but are unsure or feel uncomfortable installing it? We'll do it for you! (Software not included)

Software Suite Installation
We'll install one software suite (ex. Microsoft Office, Norton Internet Security, etc.) and install all critical updates for that suite. We will test the software suite for proper functionality. Software not included.

Hardware Installation
Installation fo any one PC-compatable internal or external hardware device onto your dektop or laptop. Graphics/video card, memory, hard drives and optical drives are examples. Hardware not included.

Operating System Installation
Installation of the latest version of Microsoft Windows. Critical system updates included. Software not included.

Repair and Upgrade of Your Computer
Diagnosis to discover the cause of crashes, slowness, freezes or Internet problems, virus removal, optimization.

Backup (One-Time)
We'll back up your data onto an external device, such as a CD or external hard drive so you will be protected in case of a severe crash.

Backup (Automated)
We can set up an online backup program to backup your data securely while you sleep! Pricing varies by amount of data.

Computer Cleaning
Have you looked at the back of your computer lately? Chances are there is a huge buildup of dust. If you can see it on the outside, it's on the inside for sure. This can severely shorten the life of your computer as dust causes the system to overheat. We'll physically clean your computer for you.
